Cold Steel President, Lynn C. Thompson’s design for the
Naga Thrower, with its distinctive blade and handle, was strongly
inspired by his twenty-seven years of Filipino Martial Arts study and
training. It is made from 1055 Carbon steel and heat treated to a tough
spring temper and, with its baked-on rust resistant finish, it will
stand up to virtually thousands of throws. It can be thrown from the
handle or blade (the tip has a sharp edge, so a blade throw must be done
with care), and with its four points for sticking a target (tip, Pommel,
Butt Cap, Pommel: The pommel refers to the end of the handle of a knife.
Many knives have a metal cap over the pommel, called a butt cap. Often
the pommel is interesting because of a decoration; however, there are
different forms of working pommels.
Plus, the design is simple enough to allow for any number of personal
modifications of your own, like customized handle scales or cord
wrapping.
